I am a local artist sharing Northwoods visions from along the Heartland and Paul Bunyan Trails in acrylic paint on wood.
My technique for these creations is painting layers of color and varnish on wood. Layers evolve out of the wood as I perceive them using the grain of the wood.
There could be as may as 100 layers by the time a painting is finished. The paintings are done when they become pictures of the earth instead of just pieces of wood.
